Ghana Agricultural Sector Investment Programme (GASIP) has graduated smallholder farmers in the North Gonja District of the Savannah Region who have been trained under the GASIP Agroforestry Project for eight months in nursery and grafting of seedlings.
The trainees were awarded certificates in Nursery Development, Grafting and Agroforestry.
The goal of GASIP is to reducing poverty in the rural areas of Ghana, with the development of objectives of enhancing the profitability and climate change resilience of agribusinesses and smallholders.
This event also intends to draw commitment of and high level of support from stakeholders interested in the restoration of the environment including farmers, District Assemblies, Chiefs, Community Leaders, Project and Programme as well as other relevant institutions.
