On Friday 2/12/22 the District Assembly through the department of Social Welfare and Community Development (SW & CD) distributed items to People Living with Disabilities (PWD’s) in the district. The items distributed include sewing machines, and deep freezers.
In his address to the beneficiaries, the DCE, Hon. Adam Eliasu noted that, the government over the years have made sustained efforts in supporting people living with disability through the department of Social Welfare and Community Development. The District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Adam Eliasu, urged the beneficiaries to see these items as an opportunity to make ends-meet. However, it important to make good use of the items to empower yourself economically.
